Company profile
Practical engineering from the workshop to the paddock
VKLink is the umbrella name for independent Australian projects created and operated by Matt Bilston across precision agriculture, radio communications and automotive technical support.
Built across disciplines
VKLink exists because field problems rarely fit neatly inside one trade. Agricultural guidance can involve satellite corrections, serial communications, cellular networks, machine electronics and software before the tractor moves a metre.
Matt's background spans more than 25 years in radio communications and automotive electrical work, more than 15 years specialising in agricultural systems, and extensive software and embedded hardware development. That combination allows VKLink to diagnose and build the complete path instead of handing a fault from one supplier to the next.
The work is developed in regional Australia and validated against real receivers, machinery and communications infrastructure.
From repeater linking to precision agriculture
The original VKLink linked physical amateur radio equipment over the internet across Australia. At its peak, around 100 nodes participated in the network. The project proved that useful infrastructure could be connected and supported nationally from a small regional workshop.
VKLink GPS applies the same approach to agricultural positioning. It brings reference stations, correction formats, datums, receiver-specific stream shaping, customer tools and field hardware into one supported system.
VKLink projects
- VKLink GPS
- Agricultural NTRIP RTK corrections, receiver support, modems, reference stations and farm data services.
- VKLink Amateur Radio
- Internet linking for physical analogue amateur radio and repeater equipment.
- Crappy Auto Electrical and AirCon
- A private technical knowledge and collaboration service for automotive electrical professionals.
Profile for directories and industry partners
VKLink is an Australian field-engineering operation specialising in agricultural NTRIP RTK corrections, agricultural GPS receiver support, communications and custom electronic systems. Founded by Matt Bilston, VKLink combines practical agricultural machinery experience with radio, automotive electrical, software and embedded hardware expertise. VKLink GPS supports both current and legacy agricultural guidance equipment across Australia and New Zealand.
